
The American Warrior Association (AWA) is a veteran-focused organization dedicated to supporting warriors as they navigate the unseen impacts of service known as moral injury. The AWA creates spaces for reflection, connection, and healing rooted in shared experience and faith.
AWA partnered with us to develop The Journey Unbound docuseries, a sub-brand initiative hosted by former Navy SEAL and Director of Men's Programs for AWA Josh Jakub, that explores healing through personal reflection. They needed a distinct visual and motion language that could communicate the weight of moral injury with honesty, while remaining aligned with AWA’s broader mission.
In addition to spearheading the filming of the docuseries, we helped create visual and motion languages that supported the story of The Journey Unbound. We developed digital assets designed to work across web and social platforms, helping frame complex themes in a way that feels human and approachable rather than instructional.
We positioned The Journey Unbound as a distinct sub-brand within the American Warrior Association. This included establishing a cohesive visual tone across both print and digital, extending from a designed brochure into motion, where typography, pacing, and restraint function as core brand elements.


We partnered with AWA to produce a docuseries for The Journey Unbound that follows Josh Jakub as he uncovers moments of honesty from veterans navigating life beyond service.


Created social and promotional assets for The Journey Unbound that translate long-form stories into short-form content. Typographic motion and intentional video editing were used to introduce themes, define language, and build awareness in a way that invites engagement in anticipation of the docuseries release.


Gathered leads and disseminated supplementary content through thoughtful web design and development, bridging the gap between social content and film. The experience was structured to prioritize clarity, allowing visitors to engage with the content at their own pace while maintaining visual consistency with the sub-brand.
